About me.
I'm a Tech Talent Sourcer with a background in HR and software implementation.
Back in high school, I studied computer math using Pascal and C++ programming languages. But at that time, coding wasn't my thing so I moved on to work in the HR industry for 10 years. My roles included being an HR Generalist and Payroll Specialist before transitioning into implementing HR software for an IT company.
When COVID-19 hit, I decided to resign from my job and travel around the world for a year. During my travels, I became fascinated by new technologies such as blockchain technology, data science, and other cutting-edge developments.
That's when I started diving deep into tech hiring - learning about various IT positions along with different programming languages and frameworks. In addition to this knowledge base, I also gained expertise in sourcing candidates through websites like LinkedIn, GitHub, Reddit or Stack Overflow where developers often hang out.
I find my work fulfilling as I have the opportunity to help both companies and candidates achieve their goals.

Software developers want to know what they will be working on and what is expected of them:
π That's why, I work closely with the hiring manager to review and clarify the job description
π I also make sure to highlight the purpose of the project, the company mission and what are any opportunities for learning and growth within the organization

My sourcing strategy includes job postings, sourcing on websites and being active in the tech community:
π― I'm active on recruiter platforms like LinkedIn, Dice, Indeed and I'm also sourcing on niche websites where developers spend time like GitHub, Stack Overflow, Quora, Reddit etc
π― I am active in tech groups across different platforms like Discord and Telegram
π― I am also partnering with other recruiters to share leads and work together on searches.
Engage with candidates
Prompt and timely communication is essential in today's fast-paced world:
π€ I use modern communication channels and allow candidates to choose their preferred method of communication
π€ I personalize my communication with each candidate, instead of sending generic emails
π€ I consider candidates even if they don't have all the required qualifications, as long as they are willing to learn new skills
π€ I stay in touch with candidates throughout the process and provide feedback when possible.

My goal is not only to find the right fit for the company, but also to help candidates get the job:

π± Instead of following a fixed interview structure, I adjust my approach to each role and personality of the candidate
π± I help candidates present themselves and their skills to the hiring manager in a clear, summarized and attractive way.
